We are happy to visit your site or lab to demonstrate products. We take the time to listen to and understand your requirements, and then we have the experience to suggest specific solutions based on your intended application. We also have a thorough knowledge of specimen preparation equipment, and we can discuss your histology needs.

Walch Optics has always been known for providing first-class advice and assistance with setting up and using your microscopy equipment. We are happy to spend time after a sale to help you make the most out of your instrument. We offer on-site training and any follow-up help as required. We are lucky in Tasmania in that, unlike the larger capital cities, our “sales team” is also our service and support team. So you are not handballed between departments if you have problems or queries regarding your equipment.
REPAIR
Walch Optics are repair agents for Leica Microscopes and Leica Biosystems. We also have many years of experience repairing all the major brands. We can come to your site or lab or conduct repairs in our workshop in Hobart, saving the delay, expense, and risk of sending instruments to the mainland. If it is more appropriate to work on your equipment at your site, then we are very flexible with times, including working outside your routine lab hours, to avoid disruption to your own work. Because we have so many years of experience and are quite innovative in our repair techniques, the cost savings to you can be quite substantial.
